What I Ate Wednesday: Did Someone Say Chocolate?

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time … and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…

Last week’s WIAW was a total fail… and that’s my fault. I had the pictures on my phone, and I was all set to write up a post but, I wasn’t really feeling that great and I thought about which was the better option  staying sleep or getting up and writing my post, THEN the net day I was totally gonna write it, but fatigue won again…

I don’t know what’s going on with me, but lately I have been in a serious shame spiral… I told my doctor that I was actually 20 pounds heavier than I am (I totally feel it) I got on the scale and apparently I haven’t gained anything (maybe it’s the super bloat I’m feeling)…. maybe it’s the fact that it’s hot outside, maybe it’s the fact that I don’t want to cook or that I’m seriously bored with all food. I think if I had my choice I would eat Taco Bell all week…but we all know that’s no good.

I’m not even a big fan of chocolate… never really have been, but every once and a while I crave it; and today was one of those days…..

WIAW Breakfast

This was a late morning for me, I was relaxing in bed watching The Real Housewives of New Jersey reruns on Bravo and the next thing that I know it’s 11am… eek. Honestly I wasn’t;t really hungry, but I knew that I still had to take my medication so I had to eat something, considering the late hour (for breakfast) I decided it was okay to have chocolate. So I had two multigrain waffles and some hazelnut spread…. super yum!

WIAW Lunch

I don’t know what the hell is it with Wednesday and Chicken…. but yes I’m having chicken again… but this time in the form of a sub…grilled chicken and cheese sub from Potbelly’s with chips and a diet root beer.

WIAW Dinner

Ever have one of those days when you just want to have cereal for dinner? I had cereal last night for dinner and it was so good so I decided to have it again…! Special K Chocolate and Almond Cereal and Almond Milk …

WIAW Snack

A few days ago I found a lot of little gems at Dollar Tree and one of the things that I found were frozen treat  molds, so I had some Crystal Light okay I always have Crystal Light in the fridge (I’m totally addicted to it) and popped them in and voilà instant zero calorie treats…. perfect for the summer .

So based on MyFitnessPal pretty good…

I should probably also note that I”earned” an additional 264 calories from exercise, yeah I didn’t really do a whole lot today… but we all have days like this

waterAnother thing that I am actively working on is drinking more water…at this point I can hear the water swishing around in my tummy … I think that might be one of the reason why I am always feeling so full

What I Ate Wednesday : Food Hangover

You ever have a food hangover? I tend to get them around the holidays, or occasion when a lot of food is present… so much food is presented to me that I don’t want to eat anything!! Nothing at all…nothing seems appetizing or appealing… and I enjoy nothing! Apparently that’s what’s happening to me this week…

WIAW Breakfast

So for breakfast I didn’t have anything special… just waffles and honey. For some reason honey has replaced my need for syrup, I refused to buy/eat it now… But since I wasn’t filling well and I needed to take my meds I wasn’t in the mood for something heavy..DSC02763

Funny thing is my mother asked me what I had for dinner, and I told her “multigrain waffles with honey” and the look on her face was completely horrifying… so funny… she doesn’t know what’s she’s missing.

WIAW LunchOnce again… nothing special…. a little yogurt and a little granola and bam!! Lunch

And finally a dinner that I didn’t cook.. just put on a plate… and to continue with the theme, not that special… but I did actually enjoy the salad…. chicken… not so much…I think one of the reason’s why I didn’t enjoy the chicken was because I spent more time using my paper towel to soak up the grease off the chicken than I did eating it…

Also I should point out that I didn’t really consume that many calories, the chicken that I ate was a thigh and not a breast, I changed my mind at the last minute so  a few less calories…
