What I Ate Wednesday: A Busy Day

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. Not everyday I eat completely healthy, but more often than not I make healthy choices.

It was one of those days when I knew that I would be busy in the morning so … it was a liquid breakfast for me. Instead of the normal 1 cup serving I normally have, I lived a little an had 1 1/2 cups… ooh I’m such a daredevil. Breakfast was 6 points20150222_074759 (1)

So for lunch I raided my mothers refrigerator and found PIZZA!… Pizza is always good in my opinion… so I grabbed it and  went on my way… I actually ate in the car…. I took the picture after it came out of the microwave, but when I got a change to eat it, the pizza was super salty and I was only able to eat one slice…. (mom ate the other slice). I have never been so disappointed in Pizza in my life. Lunch was 10 points

Since I knew that I was going to be out most of the day, I packed all of my snacks ahead of time and took them with me, so I could have them ready when I got hungry. I packed carrots and guacamole, a banana, and mandarin oranges… figure I could get my 5 a Day in one shot! Snacks were 3 points

Nothing fancy, just had some left over Chinese food, I always get the Broccoli Chicken, one because it’s so darn tasty and two I think it’s probably one of the most healthiest thing on the menu, but after looking at it for a second time I realized this is pretty much my go to meal Chicken, Broccoli and Rice…. Along with that I had 1 yummy Crab Rangoon and a fried Crab Stick (I actually thought it was a Crab Pot Sticker….. Dinner was 11 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I consumed 1,211 calories And I ate 30 Points out of the 33 that are allotted to me, overall it was not a bad food day.

The rule of thumb is that you are supposed to drink at least 8 and today I was able to get 8 cups, but with it being colder outside and me try to ramp of the workouts I should be getting more water in.. but I already feel like I’m constantly going to the bathroom as it is.

What I Ate Wednesday: Super Bowl Sunday Snow Storm Edition

This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. This week is a little different since I’m gonna be one day out of surgery, I’m not sure if I’ll be doing much of anything besides popping pills and sleeping…so this will be a Super Bowl Sunday Edition…. since it was a “special day” I wanted to eat party foods and I knew ahead of time that I was gonna have to use some of my 49

Since I have my Weight Watchers meetings on Sunday mornings I usually just have something light. Today I had 1 cup of  Low-fat Strawberry Kefir drink . My breakfast was 4 points.

I don’t like carrots, but they are hard and crunchy and take a long time to eat… she I frequently have a bag (around 3oz) in my purse when I got out.  And not long after that I had a banana. My snack was 0 points .

My Super Bowl snacks for a Super Bowl I didn’t watch…. yes I’m still bitter about the Packers losing, but whatever…. I also had donuts, I ate them totally forgot to take a picture. My lunch was 30 points (You have no idea had hard it was to write that)

So seriously points wise, I should have stopped eating…. but seriously who does that? I went back for more … this time for more.. this time more stuffed peppers and pot stickers and some veggie straws. My dinner was 15 points.

Since I’m all about being honest about what I’m eating…. I ate MORE…So I know by this point I’ve gone way over my points value… but I was still hungry and instead of eating more food (maybe a veggie) I had MORE snacks… more Veggie Straws (yep still addicted) and a Weight Watchers mini bar My snack was 5 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I consumed 1,783 calories; however I “earned” 512 calories (12 Weight Watchers activity points) from Shoveling the snow before and after my Weight Watchers meeting. I used a total of 54 Weight Watchers points (I KNOW!!!) Today was a prime example of what happens when you eat snacks all day and don’t have a meal… thank goodness the Super Bowl is only once a year.

What I Ate Wednesday: T’was The Night Before Christmas

Lately I’ve been finding that the best way to deal with my morning nausea is simply to eat light. So I had 3 cuties and a bottle of water. My breakfast was 0 points

Since my appetite was starting pick up I made an egg white omelet, with some leftover ham, spinach and cheese, with toast and peach jam. Lunch was 9 points

And because I’m a big fat pig I ate half of a frozen pizza for dinner.. My dinner was 20 points .!! (You you’re probably wondering where the picture of the pizza was, and I took one and when the time came I transferred the picture to my computer, but apparently in my haste it was a picture of a bottle of polish, and the pizza one got deleted….but pretty much all frozen pizza looks the same)

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I didn’t do squat, so didn’t earn additional points . And today I made it …with 1,166 calories . I used a total of 29 Weight Watcher Points Plus (with an activity point swapped in there)  I should note that due to the holidays, partly to avoid temptation I temporarily reduced the amount of points per day from 33 to 29.d9
