What I Ate Wednesday: That Little Hole in the Wall Diner

I went out for a super early lake front walk with my cousin and the plan was to grab breakfast after so I just had something because I knew I had to so I grabbed a peach and went on my way. Breakfast was 0 points

Because things never really turn out the way that you plan, Breakfast became lunch… and we ate at this hole in the wall diner that is like the size of my bedroom and had lunch, I was craving eggs (which seems to be the normal these days)  Lunch was 27 points (not sure how accurate that is, but I would rather go over in my points assumption that to guess to little)

II knew I had pretty much eaten up all of my points/ and calories at lunch so I went for something quick and simple, left over white rice and roasted seaweed, with a side of diet coke. Dinner was 8 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I went over my goal (what else is new?)by consuming 1,766 calories. Thank goodness for some physical activity I was able to “bump” that down to 1,395 calories.

I have 34 points  a day that I can consume, I ate all of those at used 4 of my Weekly Points, so it really wasn’t that bad. I “earned” some activity points, but didn’t calculate them that day because I was still upset that my FitBit was broken.12

The rule of thumb is that you are supposed to drink at least 8 and today I was able to get 8 cups, and lately that has been difficult for me to get in.

Speaking of water, if you are having a hard time getting your water in I would suggest this cute like app called Plant Nanny it’s available for IPhone and Andriod

What I Ate Wednesday–Lazy Day

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time … and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…

This week I really don’t care… I’m not even attempting to get out of bed.

WIAW Breakfast

Ever have one of those mornings when you have to make the really tough decision to continue  sleeping in your nice, wonderful bed, or get up and face the day and be human and do normal things like eat…. yeah well I had one of those days and sleeping won out.

 

 

WIAW Lunch

I wake up a little after noon and while watching TV I realize I should probably eat something….the goal is to eat something quick so I an get back in bed…I had some leftover pico de gallo and queso blanco from taco night… I used it to make an omelet… it was not bad at all. The I planned to finish it off with some yogurt… but something told me to look the continer…and I noticed that it was expired… the dang expiration date was a month ago (guess it’s time clean out the fridge).

So I find these 99 cent bags of Knors pasta at the grocery store… I used to eat these all the time when I was in college…  I just added some peas to the pasta while it cooked, then grilled a some chicken (because after all it’s Wednesday and I usually have chicken on Wednesday) cut it up and instant meal…. in less than 10 minutes.

Not terrible exciting, but for someone who was determined to stay in bed all day. I think I did a pretty good job! So based on MyFitnessPal I did pretty good…

I didn’t did not  workout at all today…

waterI’m amazed by the amount of water I drank considering the most strenuous thing I’ve done all day was write this entry

What I Ate Wednesday : Starting Over

When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…

For the past few months by weight loss has been an upward battle and the pounds have slowly been creeping on… and I’m sick of it! So I’m making a change (I’m hoping this will shock the system and work ) I have joined weight- watchers… so I’m gonna see if taking a different approach to food will make a difference.

  I’ve been eating blueberry oatmeal all week… so it’s the same ole same ole, except I spiced it up a bit and added some yogurt.

DSC02903WIAW SnackI had to run a quick errand today and I ended up buying my dinner and noticed that there was a Jamba Juice across the way… I can’t resist Jamba Juice.

So I had something called Island Strawberry Refresher , I thought that it would be a good choice since it was made with Coconut Water and I’ve been meaning to try it, but I’m afraid that it’s gonna taste awful.  So according to the website,  Coconut water, lemonade, strawberries, and sherbet—drinks don’t get any more refreshing than that. Unless, of course, you drink them next to a tropical waterfall, while a soft mist envelops you in its comforting, cool embrace. But that will probably only happen some of the time . I’M SOLD!

  I have been craving eggs, like seriously craving them, and I think that I night have mentioned this before but I’m not a huge fan of eggs but I seem to really grave them during a certain time of the month. So I went a little untraditional for today’s lunch and made myself a simple cheese omelet with 1/2 of a toasted sandwich Thin…

Another thing that I am actively working on is drinking more water…so in addition to havingwater the Jamba Juice I also drank 14 glasses of water (I’ll be paying for that later I’m sure)
