What I Ate Wednesday: T’was The Night Before Christmas

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. Not everyday I eat completely healthy, but more often than not I make healthy choices.

As always my Weight Watchers Points into the fold.

Lately I’ve been finding that the best way to deal with my morning nausea is simply to eat light. So I had 3 cuties and a bottle of water. My breakfast was 0 points

Since my appetite was starting pick up I made an egg white omelet, with some leftover ham, spinach and cheese, with toast and peach jam. Lunch was 9 points

And because I’m a big fat pig I ate half of a frozen pizza for dinner.. My dinner was 20 points .!! (You you’re probably wondering where the picture of the pizza was, and I took one and when the time came I transferred the picture to my computer, but apparently in my haste it was a picture of a bottle of polish, and the pizza one got deleted….but pretty much all frozen pizza looks the same)

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I didn’t do squat, so didn’t earn additional points . And today I made it …with 1,166 calories . I used a total of 29 Weight Watcher Points Plus (with an activity point swapped in there)  I should note that due to the holidays, partly to avoid temptation I temporarily reduced the amount of points per day from 33 to 29.d9

The rule of thumb is that you are supposed to drink at least 8 and today I was able to get 8 cups. water

What I Ate Wednesday–Quick and Easy

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. I think this Wednesday my Weight Watchers leader would be proud… every meal was planned ahead.

When it comes to breakfast I normal am not hungry until I am (does that make any sense) then  I pass hungry and go straight to starving so quick and easy is always good for me when it comes to breakfast. So frosted mini wheat with light almond milk and sugar free apple sauce was what I hate, quick easy and filling. My breakfast was 6 points.

Having breakfast for lunch has been something I’ve been doing for a white now, I don’t know why, there is not rhyme or reason to it… but I like it. My lunch was 8 points

Subway is always my quick and easy standby “fast food: and usually it’s only 7 points with the sandwich, diet coke and apples,  but this week I wanted to rebel I didn’t want apples I wanted chips…. even if they were five points, where they work it … yes, they were but this is an indulgence that I won’t be having every week…. The two things that I am seriously addicted to … seriously I’m not eating any more cheese. My snack was 3 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and according to MyFitnessPal I earned more 178 more calories because I worked out just a teeny tiny bit) But calorie and point wise I think I did a good job today…

There is nothing exciting about water, I will say that I started back drinking Crystal Light the other day and I drank like a half a gallon and promptly broke out in hives… so just water for the time being …. stupid sensitive body!

Holy crap I was hungry this morning, and I’m doing my best to sort of mi it up every morning, I tend to have oatmeal in the morning, but I don’t want to get bored with it so I decided to have turkey bacon (doesn’t taste like real yummy pork bacon…. but it’ll do)  My breakfast was 7 points (sorry that the picture is blurry, I was seriously shaky before breakfast)

Since I was super hungry after I worked out I made sure to have a protein packed snack… I had the same thing yesterday and I was surprised by how full it left me,  I ended up eating lunch and dinner later than I normally would. My snack was 9 points

I decided to have left over from dinner which were black beans and rice with cornbread with some fruit and yogurt. My lunch was 10 points

Pasta is what’s for dinner, second Wednesday in a row that I didn’t have chicken… this time it’s cheese tortellini with peas (I’m doing my very best to incorporate fruits or vegetables with every meals (plus they are 0 points so why not) My dinner was  8 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I was able to “earn” additional 855 calories from working out. (y’all would be proud I was a beast today… seriously the scale better so my effort on Sunday!) . ! .  Although I was “allowed” 2055 (Holy Cow! That’s a lot) calories I did excellent job today considering I’ve has two snacks I was still able to come in less than 1200 calories. Weight Watchers I used a total of 34 points with 1 left over….and I earned 7 additional points from working out. Overall I so proud of the activity that I’ve been putting out this week… making good food choices hasn’t been easy, but I’m doing my best, but overall I think that I’m doing okay.WIAW

.I woke up this morning not hungry, and before I knew it, it was getting late and I needed to take my medication, so I grabbed  yogurt out of the fridge and continued watching Downton Abbey . I just recently started eating these, and they aren’t bad… I do like that they come in a lot of different flavors… By breakfast was 2 points20140917_093150

By the time snack time rolled around I admit that I was feeling a we bit peckish… I had some Pringles, which are my new favorite thing at the moment, and some Hawaiian Punch, normally I don’t drink it but my mom gave me a 2 litter that she had left over from a party. My snack was 6 points

Since I pretty much missed out of breakfast I decided to have it for lunch… nothing special just some frozen potatoes I had left over and some egg whites with tomato and onion… my own little scramble (well sort of ) With some frozen fruit that I had…. so yummy! My lunch total was 5 points

For dinner I did a lot of swaps, instead of a burger, I had a turkey burger, I swapped a bun for a multi- grain English muffin and used laughing cow cheese instead of sliced cheese, and added lettuce and tomato. The added some cucumbers what were marinating in rice vinegar…it was really yummy and honestly the burger didn’t taste any different (I did use mustard as my condiment). just Dinner was 10 points

This was okay, I was hoping that it would be better…. but beggars can’t be choosers…My last snack was 3 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I was able to “earn” additional 194 calories from working out. . ! .  Although I was “allowed” 1394 calories I did excellent job today considering I’ve has two snacks I was still able to come in less than 1200 calories. Weight Watchers said I used a total of 26 points with 9 left over…and I earned 2 additional points from working out. Overall I gotta say that I’m really proud of the food choices that I made today (And I feel like I ate a lot of food). Hopefully I will feel the same tomorrow.
