What I Ate Wednesday: That Little Hole in the Wall Diner

I went out for a super early lake front walk with my cousin and the plan was to grab breakfast after so I just had something because I knew I had to so I grabbed a peach and went on my way. Breakfast was 0 points

Because things never really turn out the way that you plan, Breakfast became lunch… and we ate at this hole in the wall diner that is like the size of my bedroom and had lunch, I was craving eggs (which seems to be the normal these days)  Lunch was 27 points (not sure how accurate that is, but I would rather go over in my points assumption that to guess to little)

II knew I had pretty much eaten up all of my points/ and calories at lunch so I went for something quick and simple, left over white rice and roasted seaweed, with a side of diet coke. Dinner was 8 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I went over my goal (what else is new?)by consuming 1,766 calories. Thank goodness for some physical activity I was able to “bump” that down to 1,395 calories.

I have 34 points  a day that I can consume, I ate all of those at used 4 of my Weekly Points, so it really wasn’t that bad. I “earned” some activity points, but didn’t calculate them that day because I was still upset that my FitBit was broken.12

The rule of thumb is that you are supposed to drink at least 8 and today I was able to get 8 cups, and lately that has been difficult for me to get in.

Speaking of water, if you are having a hard time getting your water in I would suggest this cute like app called Plant Nanny it’s available for IPhone and Andriod

What I Ate Wednesday: Girl You in the Hospital Edition

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. Not everyday I eat completely healthy, but more often than not I make healthy choices.

As always my Weight Watchers Points into the fold.

First of all I was starving, but you have to pick and choice from the evil that is on the hospital food list for patients, so just like if I was at home I ate light. Banana, some yogurt (that I only had a few spoonful’s of, a few sips of coffee almost a whole biscuit. This while she-bang was 5 points (it was probably more, but you can really find hospital biscuit on the Weight Watchers database)

Lunch was pretty decent. I ate it all…It’s been forever since I’ve had Lorna Doone cookies, but alas my tummy would only allow me to have 2 *sad face* My lunch was 12 points. 20150209_124153

Dinner feet for a kid Chicken tenders with mac and cheese with a little spinach to make it grown up. I didn’t eat the bread or drink the milk.. I don’t eat anything that’s banana flavored (but I do eat bananas…. and no it’s no weird and grape juice is gross) My dinner was 12 points.

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I consumed 1,275 calories; And to be honest this is just an estimate; it could have been more it could have been less, it’s hard to tell when you aren’t cooking and preparing your own food (not to mention not know exactly how much you are consuming). And I ate 29 Points out of the 33 that are allotted to me,

I know that it’s but unusual for someone to be in the hospital, counting points and calories, heck that should be the one time when you really don’t care, but it’s second nature for me to do it… even when I’m feeling my absolute worst.

Writing Prompt: Present-day you meets 10-years-ago you for coffee. Share with your younger self the most challenging thing, the most rewarding thing, and the most fun thing they have to look forward to.

Honestly I don’t know what I would say to myself, things were rough for me, so I think that I would give her the same advice I wish someone would have said to me (now or things) things suck, and they probably are gonna suck for a long time, but concentrate and really appreciate the  good days, and really value those people around you who enrich your life.

As far as giving myself a heads-up, I don’t think I would… except, keep a camera with you at all times, you won’t regret it!

What I Ate Wednesday : Dinner At Moms

I think this Wednesday my Weight Watchers leader would be proud… every meal was planned ahead.

So for weeks I had been seeing this post about two ingredient cakes… Two ingredients?… hell it can’t get any easier than this! So I tried it and I liked them… this version is pumpkin spice… So Indecided to have that for breakfast with a super large cup of coffee…. Man I needed it this NaNoWriMo has me in a tizzy! My breakfast was 6 points!

Lately I’m on a Frosted Mini Wheat (with light Almond Milk) kick….. and who says that I can’t have it for lunch? (Okay after I ate it I thought of Colon Blow…. does anyone remember that SNL Skit (well click the link and refresh yourself)? My lunch was 6 points .

My mom is a wild card, and since I’m the only one in the family it’s unfair for me to dictate what she cooks (plus I LOVE when she cooks) so on the days that I have dinner at her house, I try to eat accordingly so that I can have some wiggle room when it comes to dinner… And tonight she didn’t disappoint. Steak, Potatoes, Salad and Garlic Bread.. how many times can a person say yummm before they start to sound utterly obnoxious?  My dinner was 16 points. and it was totally worth it!

I LOVE Nilla Wafers… seriously they are the best snack, but not everything translated to the low fat version… these are “stiff” This snack was 3 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I didn’t do squat… so I didn’t earn any extra calories., and despite what I ate I was still under my calorie goal (1150 calories). Even though I seriously loaded up on carbs. Weight Watchers:  I used a total of 31 points with 2 left over….today was a good day!

I’m drinking the minimum amount of water lately, I guess that’s how you know that it’s getting cooler outside.
