What I Ate Wednesday: A Busy Day

So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time as is the case today… and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…I always want WIAW to be an accurate account of what I am eating. Not everyday I eat completely healthy, but more often than not I make healthy choices.

As always my Weight Watchers Points into the fold.

It was one of those days when I knew that I would be busy in the morning so … it was a liquid breakfast for me. Instead of the normal 1 cup serving I normally have, I lived a little an had 1 1/2 cups… ooh I’m such a daredevil. Breakfast was 6 points20150222_074759 (1)

So for lunch I raided my mothers refrigerator and found PIZZA!… Pizza is always good in my opinion… so I grabbed it and  went on my way… I actually ate in the car…. I took the picture after it came out of the microwave, but when I got a change to eat it, the pizza was super salty and I was only able to eat one slice…. (mom ate the other slice). I have never been so disappointed in Pizza in my life. Lunch was 10 points

Since I knew that I was going to be out most of the day, I packed all of my snacks ahead of time and took them with me, so I could have them ready when I got hungry. I packed carrots and guacamole, a banana, and mandarin oranges… figure I could get my 5 a Day in one shot! Snacks were 3 points

Nothing fancy, just had some left over Chinese food, I always get the Broccoli Chicken, one because it’s so darn tasty and two I think it’s probably one of the most healthiest thing on the menu, but after looking at it for a second time I realized this is pretty much my go to meal Chicken, Broccoli and Rice…. Along with that I had 1 yummy Crab Rangoon and a fried Crab Stick (I actually thought it was a Crab Pot Sticker….. Dinner was 11 points

My general caloric intake is 1200 calories per day, and today I consumed 1,211 calories And I ate 30 Points out of the 33 that are allotted to me, overall it was not a bad food day.

The rule of thumb is that you are supposed to drink at least 8 and today I was able to get 8 cups, but with it being colder outside and me try to ramp of the workouts I should be getting more water in.. but I already feel like I’m constantly going to the bathroom as it is.

And that my friends is What I Ate this Wednesday Sunday; be sure to follow me MyFitnessPal or of you are doing Weight Watchers  or FitBit friend me there as well I’m TRJENKINS77

Until Next Time…

We’re All Headed In The Same Direction

Positive Outlooks

Nowadays we don’t even treat ourselves very well! We knowingly consume things that are bad for us, continue working at jobs we hate, and don’t spend half as much time relaxing as we do stressing. Come to think of it, we ARE treating others the way we treat ourselves: poorly! We feed our children junk food, opt for cheap instead of quality even when it matters, rarely give anyone our undivided attention, and demand a lot more from others than what is reasonable or even possible. Let’s try something new: let’s treat everybody as if we just found out they’re about to die. Why? Because it seems that’s the ONLY time we slow down enough to get a new perspective on life—either then or when we have a near-death experience ourselves. Be gentle, patient, kind and understanding. We’re all headed in the same direction, so let’s start treating each other…

Clone Wars

Writing Prompt: If you could clone yourself, how would you split up your responsibilities?

One would be the uber-responsible Tyra, the one that actually uses her Master’s Degree, works hard and is active in volunteerism. She would be the successful and able to take care of her family.

The other clone would be carefree and enjoy all that life has to offer. She would be the one to run off to the Maldives, because she overheard a conversation at Starbucks about how clean and clear the water was.

Strangely enough both of these Tyra’s are the people that I want to be… maybe one day I can split the difference and a have a little of each.
