Writing Prompt: To be, to have, to think, to move — which of these verbs is the one you feel most connected to? Or is there another verb that characterizes you better?
The French philosopher, mathematician, and writer, René Descartes’ once said “Cogito ergo sum” (I think, therefore I am). Descartes has been dubbed as the ‘Father of Modern Philosophy’. I seriously think he was specifically talking about me.
I’ve always considered myself a cerebral person (I think so much sometimes it’s hard to sleep… I’m always planning, creating or thinking of what to do next…) I spend so much time in my own head I often give others the impression that I’m arrogant or a little snobby (but I’m promise ?I’m not)-But I do not hesitate to speak my mind and more often that not it comes off as harsh (even if justified) criticism and their imperturbable self-confidence. I tend to do better around people who are like me and who can hold lengthily and intelligent conversations, I ALWAYS tell my mother that I simply don’t have the patience for stupid people (and my biggest pet peeve is a woman who plays dumb to appease others) . Because I’;m a “thinker” people often describe me as : introverted, theoretical, logical, spontaneous, rational, analytical, intellectual, skeptical, pensive, critical, quiet, precise, independent, creative, inventive, abstract, eccentric, curious, reserved, self-involved, imaginative, unsociable, determined, modest, careful, incommunicative, witty (and some of them may be true… and some obviously not… okay maybe one or two are wrong)
