What I Ate Wednesday: It’s My Birthday!


So clearly this is not an original thought WIAW was originated from Peas and Crayons  and a lot of other bloggers have started doing it as well; and since I can’t be original and I really like the idea of doing this… I decided to give it whirl as well. This will pretty much be a mish-mash of stuff,  some days I will try a new technique or perhaps I’ll be eating something for the first time … and someday it might be leftover chili…who knows, and I guess that’s part of the fun. When I first started blogging it was to remain accountable with my exercise and food intake, so this is kind of takes me back… Very little of this is planned… but it’s 100% honest…


So since it’s my birthday I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to do a WIAW…. but I’m all for accountability… here goes. Just so you know it’s very likely I will go over my allotted calories and I’m certainly not going to the gym today…. so let’s get started


WIAW Breakfast

So I didn’t make it to breakfast this morning, and I opted for an early morning shopping excursion…..



WIAW Lunch

Stopped at Starbucks because I was super hungry… apparently that’s what happens when you decide to forgo eating to deals at the store… So since I had my birthday reward… decided it was a good time to use it and ordered myself a Venti Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher (you know you are used to ordering the Trenta when the Venti starts to look small) and a Ham and Cheese Square… double yum!


WIAW Snack Seems like every single time I go into Starbucks I have to pick these up… they are so good, even though they pack a lot of calories… it’s nice to be able to treat yourself everyone once and a while.


WIAW Dinner So Kylie wanted Greens, and the plans where to go to MacArthurs, but due to the time and distance, getting there would have been a nightmare (That’s one thing about Chicago, you need to time your trips or you will be stuck in traffic for hours) So we went to BJ’s instead… they served a lot of food, I was able to get down half (with plans to eat the other half for lunch… but when I got out of the car , but food decided to jump out before me and landed in the back seat *sad face*)


WIAW SnackSince Birthday Cake was not on the menu (I’m not a big fan of cakes…. just seem like a waste when I can just have a cupcake and be happy… we settled for a post victory ice cream. As I asked for two scoops in a cup and I think she was just like “forget it” and filled if to the brim, or else they use ginormous ice cream scoops… geez…



So based on MyFitnessPal and I did horrifically, but we knew that was going to happen ahead of time. I’m not going to beat myself up about this, if there is a day to splurge then this is it…

waterAnother thing that I am actively working on is drinking more water…I was only able to get in about 9 cups today.
